tesla cybertruck: features and specifications
About Tesla:
Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers led by Elon Musk, who wanted to prove that it was possible to drive an electric vehicle without making compromises. Indeed, for Tesla electric vehicles could be more efficient, faster and more enjoyable to drive than conventional combustion vehicles. In July 2020, Tesla dethroned Toyota for its stock market valuation, yet Tesla sold 300 times fewer vehicles. The most surprising thing is that Tesla offers only 4 models in its catalog, the choice at Tesla is limited. We'll have to wait for the Cybertruck pickup, which is still being improved, the new Roadster, which is being prepared for the Nurburgring record in 2021, and probably a city car to complete the range, which will be mainly dedicated to the European market.Tesla Cybertruck: the highlight of the year
In 2023, Tesla will be the star. The Cybertruck should be on the road in a few weeks in the United States. On our side of the Atlantic, Tesla's electric pickup is certainly generating less excitement, but like the Semi, is a major launch for the brand in its home market.Unveiled in November 2019 and repeatedly postponed since then, the Cybertruck now seems to be in the home stretch before it goes to market. But that last stretch seems hard to top and could take Tesla a few more months. According to the latest indiscretions of Reuters, the electric pickup could arrive only at the very end of the year, four years after its announcement. The reason? Difficulties in the production of the 4680 batteries, of course, and the final design adjustments.
However, the success of the Cybertruck seems to be guaranteed, according to Elon Musk's latest statements, which mention a full order book for the next three years.
The first electric pickup of the Californian brand, the Tesla Cybertruck was officially presented on Friday, November 22, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.
The design of the Cybertruck:
The least we can say is that the design of the Cybertruck does not leave anyone indifferent. Tesla's objective was to make a vehicle that stands out from the competition, and it's a success! As for the aesthetics, everyone will make up their own mind about this rough and ready design. Almost 6 meters long and 1.90 m high, this pickup is a step up from the star of the category, the Ford F-150. However, only one size is offered, as its rivals come in many configurations. But it's not just an original object, Tesla boasts about the solidity of its machine. This ultra-resistant steel "exoskeleton" would be much more resistant than its rival, and even resistant to some bullets. Its "transparent metal" composite window is also designed to be stronger than the competition.

Performance and capabilities:
Three versions make up the initial catalog of the Tesla Cybertruck. The access variant has a rear engine, so only two wheel drive, with unmentioned power and torque. However, it is said to be capable of 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 177 km/h. The second twin-engine version will have four-wheel drive. It lowers the acceleration to 4.5 seconds, its Vmax being raised to 193 km/h. Finally, the sportiest of the electric pickups moves via three motors, for a 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds, and gives a top speed of 209 km/h.The Cybertruck is primarily a utility vehicle and can tow between 3,400 and 6,350 kg depending on the version. Its almost two-meter long bed can carry objects up to 1,590 kg. Off-road, the air-suspended pickup raises its ground clearance to 40 cm, with its approach and departure angles of 35 and 26 degrees respectively.

Battery and range of the Cybertruck:
Just like the performance, there are few details about the packs on board the pickup. All we know is that the three versions in the range will have very different autonomies, which means that they will probably have different capacities. The single-engine Cybertruck will have a range of 400 km, the two-engine version 484 km, and the very sporty three-engine version promises over 800 km. The cells, however, should be identical to the Model 3.Battery:

Tesla Cybertruck price and marketing :
The pickup from Elon Musk's company won't be delivered until the end of 2021. North America is the priority, but the French website making the model available suggests availability in Europe and France. Pre-orders are thus open from November 22, 2019, with advance of 100 euros refundable. However, the price is in dollars only. The entry-level Cybertruck is priced at $39,900, the mid-range version at $49,900, with the top performer inflating the bill to $69,900.
